Are you worried your phone is listening to you? Does your email inbox feel cluttered with unwanted coupons? Learn how to protect your privacy and be more aware of the digital footprints you leave behind during the Digital Shred Workshop!
Digital Shred is a program created by Penn State University Libraries. This workshop has been made available via a creative commons license, with the goal of helping attendees reflect on their own digital footprint; examine their privacy priorities; and develop their own personal data integrity plan.
LACONI Technology Section has remixed this program to focus on practical steps library workers can take to understand digital privacy and make informed choices about their online identity, so attendees can share what they learn with their patrons, family, and colleagues.
There will be a brief presentation (with activities!) and time for discussion. The program will be recorded, but the discussion will not be recorded.
