Operations and Event Coordinator
Library Administrators Conference of Northern Illinois (LACONI) is seeking an Operations and Event Coordinator to manage financial documents and assist with program logistics both virtually and in-person. LACONI was founded in 1954 and is a non-profit organization that provides professional development opportunities for library staff in the Chicagoland area. We are looking for someone who is organized, flexible and a collaborative problem solver.
The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s financial accounts and ledger. You will reconcile monthly bank statements, prepare annual membership letters and bills, and maintain membership records. The coordinator will work closely with the LACONI Treasurer, assist in handling financial transactions for all LACONI events and operations and produce financial statements for the organization. The coordinator will assist with LACONI program and event production as needed.
Work hours are flexible, but the Coordinator will need to offer timely response to organization needs, individual Section requests and event attendees. Busy period is November – January when membership payments are due, 1099 filing and year-end financial statements must be prepared.
SALARY AND HOURS
This position is an independent contractor position (1099) with pay starting at $40 hr. Working hours are flexible with no more than 20 hours a month.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Eventbrite or event and ticketing systems
Knowledge of Squarespace or website administration tools
Knowledge of Mailchimp or other mass mailing systems
Commitment to EDIA in LACONI work
