TSS: Words Matter: Creating a More Inclusive Catalog

In this session the speakers will present on the individual projects their libraries and institutions have undertaken to reach the goal of creating a more inclusive library catalog. Within this work, there are multiple ways to enact change, in this presentation three varying perspectives will be shared followed by a facilitated panel discussion. Major topics to cover will include: research and decision making processes for subject heading changes, individual project outlines and goals, and open discussion on the challenges of enacting these changes. This session is intended to be both informative as well as engaging, allowing for ample time for audience Q&A.

There will be a brief Business Meeting at 9:45 before the program.
