LACONI RASS invites you to learn how to navigate political and social topics in your library.
Politics, civics, and social justice are increasingly at the forefront of our informational landscape, but library professionals may avoid offering such programming due to fear that they are ill-equipped to handle tough questions and potential conflict. If you want to grow your political programming muscles, join us and learn how to bring these types of conversations into your libraries. Presenters will discuss what sparked their ideas and how they brought these programs to life. Overcoming challenges in planning, execution, criticisms and/or pushback from administration and community members will also be discussed.
