This is a panel discussion covering team building topics presented by speakers who are practicing middle managers in Adult Services, Circulation Services, Technical Services, and Youth Services.
Some of the topics covered will include: job descriptions, interview questions, job postings, choosing between great candidates, red flags during the interview process, phone interviews vs. in-person, calling references and additional issues you wish to explore on this area. Bring your questions, share your ideas!
There will be a break for lunch, during which a tour of the library will be offered.
From 2:00-4:00 pm, there will be a Business and Program Planning Meeting. Any attendee interesting in joining the section to network with fellow middle managers and to help plan and offer programs, is welcome to attend this meeting!
